Representing families
We channel families' participation in the running of the school and in its School Council.
We are the parents' association (AMPA) of CEIP Manuel Sainz de Vicuña, a public nursery and primary school in Madrid, Spain. The rest of this website is in Spanish, the official language of the country; this page summarises it in English.
To support families in the education of their children, to collaborate with the school's educational work, to give families a voice in the running of the school, and to help parents balance family and working life.
We channel families' participation in the running of the school and in its School Council.
We organise activities outside school hours so that families can combine work and school timetables.
We offer sports and cultural activities for pupils and for their families.
We work with the school to organise celebrations and events throughout the school year.
We promote parenting schools and talks on the education of our children.
We answer parents' and guardians' questions about everything related to school life.
The association has 249 member families, whose fees fund all of its activities. After-school activities take place at the school itself, in its gym and sports courts.
